The Structured Workplace Learning Programme

The Structured Workplace Learning Programme (SWL) is an initiative that aims to provide workplace opportunities to students to assist them make a successful transition through school and from school to further education, training, and active participation in the community. Specifically, the SWL program provides students with structured learning opportunities in a real workplace. This structured work placement is a mandatory component of a Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Schools course undertaken by senior secondary students.


The Northern Beaches Business Education Network's role

The Structured Workplace Learning Programme The Northern Beaches Business Education Network (NBBEN) provides on-going effective linking of employers to schools and TAFE NSW institutes in the local area. NBBEN coordinates quality HSC VET work placements for students, as well as supporting host employers with information and advice about managing issues that may arise during HSC work placement programs.
