The Structured Workplace Learning Process
Start of the year – PRIOR to placement
Student registrations are to be completed by all participating students in the Workplacement Programme. If a student has not completed a registration form, their placement cannot be successfully processed.*
8 weeks prior to placement
Request placements from existing employer database – If new employers are required, recruiting will be done at this point.
5 weeks prior to placement
Opportunity Lists to be sent to schools.
2-3 weeks prior to placement
Student selection returned to NBBEN.
2 weeks prior to placement
Confirmation sent to employer.
2 weeks prior to placement
Student Confirmations and Placement Summary sent to school.
Conclusion of the placement
Students are requested to complete a Workplacement Evaluation form. These forms are collated and tallied, with the best performing students and employers receiving awards at the Structured Workplace Learning Awards Night
* Registration forms are available to be downloaded from the NBBEN website and are to be mailed to our office at: Unit 18, 10-18 Orchard Road, Brookvale NSW 2100. Only classes of less than 10 students can be faxed to our office (FAX: 9907 1594).
