
The information provided by students, parents/caregivers and
employers is obtained for the purpose of participation in
a Northern Beaches Business Education Network Inc (NBBEN)
programme. Information received will be used ONLY by the NBBEN
to assist schools meet their duty of care and child protection
responsibilities and to support the information needs of the
student, employer and the parent/Caregiver. Provision of this
information is voluntary.
The information will be stored securely and kept for two(2)
years after the nominated programme has been completed or
until the student reaches twenty (20) years of age, whichever
is longer. This meets the requirements of the funding bodies,
school requirements and NBBEN insurance.
When an incident related to the placement occurs, the information
will be kept for a minimum of seven (7) years after that incident.
The information could relate to accidents and could include
accident reports, claims for damages or assessment of damages.
The NBBEN is in no way responsible for the damages with respect
to any parties but merely coordinates the line of communication
and ensures that the rights of the relevant parties are known.
The information will only be disclosed for purposes directly
related to the purpose for which it was collected. If you
do not provide all or any of this information the students
may not be able to undertake the planned activity, NBBEN takes
no responsibility for any incidents that occur as a result
of withheld information.
