The School Business Community Partnership Process
NBBEN will create a whole community approach that improves the educational outcomes for young people by:
Identifying the needs of our region
This involves working closely with education providers within the region to identify the challenges for young people in the local area.
Developing community awareness in support of these needs
This involves developing a large network of local, national and multinational companies who wish to invest in the development of today’s young people.
Providing opportunities for learning beyond the classroom
This involves:
- Working closely with these companies to develop an interesting, relevant and unique initiative.
- Working with education providers, community groups and parent organisations to discover the best way to integrate this initiative into each individual landscape and to meet their needs.
Ensuring sustainability
This involves developing a framework that will encourage stakeholder ownership of each initiative to ensure sustainability.
The aim is to promote sustainable partnerships between the four key stakeholder groups to assist students to make a smooth transition through school and from school onto further education, training and work.
